Wiring question for pulsing landing light

I thought I saw a post about this, but I cannot find it and would appreciate someone pointing me to right place.

While fitting my wings yesterday I tested the wing tip and landing lights and while all of them work, the pulse option for the landing light did not. While building I tested the light and it definitely pulsed, so I assume I have a wiring mix up at the wing root connection. I vaguely recall someone pointing that out on here to give me a head start on where to fix this.

thanks, Brent.

Two landing lights?

If you have two landing lights you will need to have diodes unless they are part of the control module. Otherwise they would only pulse if both lights are on together. I used a simple 8 contact terminal from Radio Shack and a couple of diodes. I can send data if you need it but this is what my system needed.

Brent - I believe the wiring issue you referred to may be the nav/strobe related wiring issue covered in the following post.

If you only have one landing light, the power from the panel switch must ultimately end up on the red lead going to the landing light ? and the light must be properly grounded.

For single light pulse operation, power from the panel switch must ultimately end up on the yellow lead going to the light. Power on this lead causes the light to pulse regardless of the presence of voltage or not on the red lead.

If you are planning on a dual light wig wag instillation, see the following post.

Hope this helps.
Happy building!
