The construction manual have a good description on how to make the wingtip (and other fairings) even with the skin. It shows no gap between the wing tip and the skin.
I was wondering for the builder that have painted their plane, how much gap between a removable wing tip and skin is recommended to allow for paint build up.
Did you let the painter take care of the final finishing of the gap?
I am using the hinge method, but the gap would be the same regardless of fastening method.
