Wing walk / No step question ?

I am installing the Fly Boy wing walk. The rear edge of the wing skin is not supported by struckture the last 2 “ If you cover it all, the cantilevered top skin could take some abuse. If you put a no step sign on that area, it could be confusing at be`st to~ know dont step on the wing or the flap~ !

what has been your experience.

Put the wing walk material only on the area you allow to be stepped on (where the doubler is located). Tell your passengers that they can only step on the black (or whatever color) wing walk.

Step on area ahead of rear spar rivet line ONLY. I had to replace one wing skin that experienced cracks along that rivet line caused by folks stepping aft of the spar line.
Vans Tech acknowledged that they had heard of this before, but not a common problem. Yeh, sure.

Put the wing walk area where you want them to step, put the “NO STEP” where you don’t want them to step, the idea being they will see the placard and not want to step on the wing at all, until you tell them where it’s ok to step.
