Wing cradle

Randy H

I'm New Here
I am halfway through skinning the left wing. It sure would be nice to have a place to put the leaft wing while I work on the right wing. I have seen some photos of a cradle on wheels to hold the completed wings.

Does anyone have plans/dimenisons/draings for this cradle?

Thanks,

Randy H.

And an end view with only 1 wing in the stand.

I don't have exact measurements right now, but it is roughly 48" tall, 7' long and 2' wide. the base is 7/16" waferboard(plywood would work), sides are 2x6's, straps are a heavy denim material I stole from the wife, upper crossbar is another 2x6. took <1hr to throw together.

Just Built The Wing Stand Yesterday

Built a wing stand for my left RV-12 wing yesterday. See my website. It is 8' long and 40" wide. Used 2x6 at the ends, and 2x4 for all else. Used cheap indoor/outdoor carpet. Lowes had it in 12' rolls. Had them cut 2 pieces, each 1 foot by 12 foot. 4 casters from Harbor Freight.
