Wing building order

I have a question about the RV7 wing build order. Due to some space issues I'd like to re-order the way I build the wings, contrary to the instructions. I've finished attaching all the nut plate hardware to the main spars. I'd like to start and complete both fuel tanks before moving on to assembly of the wing skeleton. Can you think of any reason why this would be a bad idea?

The advice I was given (and followed) was to build the wings before the tanks. The wings were still their upright "jigs" when the tanks were built. When they were done, they were set onto the wings and a few screws added to hold them to the wings and left there until the proseal had fully cured. The idea was to sort of "form" to the wing so they would forever be a perfect fit. I don't know if it was necessary or not but my tanks do fit the wings like gloves whenever I put them on.
