Greetings!
I'm building an RV-9A with a Dynon Skyview display
I have an EIS 4000 from GRT
Because the GRT Mini series will act as a display for the EIS, I think a GRT Mini would make a great backup EFIS
The Mini-B would be easy to install and for an extra $150 would be the engine monitor.
I'm planning on having the engine monitor on 99% of the time, but is that true?
For basic EFIS/GPS are the Mini-B and mini-GA the same?
Can I use the Mini-GA as an engine display? If so, does the extra features of the Mini-GA make it worth having?
My ADAHRS for the Dynon is in the back of the plane, so I have no pitot/static near the panel. Will I change the reliability of the Pitot/static system if I start adding Tees and running plumbing to the front of the plane?
For just a few extra bucks (and a bit of wiring) should I go the whole enchilada and get a fully equipped Mini-X with OAT, magnetometer, and pages and wind up just watching the EIS information?
*sigh*
Experienced thoughts welcome.
