Maybe it's my eyes but is that a solid rigid pipe partially covered with firesleeve coming out of the fuel pump to somewhere?? If it is, would get rid of it. If my eyes are lying to me, I apologize.
I would think it's one of Tom S's nice Teflon hoses with a 90 degree end fitting. This 90 degree bend end fitting with solid line section makes for a good fit around the local obstructions.
However, if that hose is from the fuel pump to carb. then a solid hose is quite acceptable since the fuel pump and carb move/vibrate together.
Certified planes can us solid lines here.
I love it. They vibrate together. If the solid line is hanging out there and not properly supported it most likely will fail. Each to his own. My comfort level requires an A/C quality flex line for that application. Oh Well
