WH-B148 Mystery Wire

Hello RV12ers

During installation of the finishing kit we were instructed to install a wire WH-B148 thru a firewall gromet. I am now installing the powerplant kit and there does not seem to be anyplace to attach it.

Can anyone provide guidance here?

B148 was part of the original D180 wiring design. It ran from the power outlet to the battery.

From the top of my head I'd say this was the fused battery connection for driving the 12V outlet in the cabin. This got removed in section 42D and was replaced by a fused connection hooked up to the main switched 12V power supply. Pull it back behind the firewall and deal with it when installing the avionics.

Regarding this fused wire, if you connect it to the load side of the relay, it will be switched with the master. Otherwise it will be hot all the time.
