Weather sealing the canopy bow

Worked on the glass windscreen/canopy bow this weekend. I used 4 layers of duct tape on the canopy to ensure I had some space under the glass to prevent any binding/scratching and to allow some sort of weather sealant.

What have you folks found to be a good solution?
