vortex generators on RV-9...who's got'em? PIREP please.

reading about some nasty stalls lately, and wanting to enhance the all-round safety margins and predictablility of low-speed flight regimes.
anyone using VG's?
where did you put them?
did you do a full range of flight tests?
are you also using an AoA?

On an RV9?

the VG's sound like a good idea though along with the extra Glastar like flow diverter I've seen on the side of the Fuse on some RV8's.

The -9 flys so slow now, I'm not sure you really need them. That and its stall is nothing to worry about, same as the other RV's, which is to say like a Cherokee.

As for the AOA, I've got one in my Dynon but don't use it very much.

If you are that worried about stalls, get a good instructor, get up high and do a bunch. Ride the plane down a few thousand feet while stalled using the rudder to keep the wings level.

In other words, learn how to recognize a stall and get comfortable doing them.
