Video camera mounting

A question for all the videographers out there. What have you done for vibration isolation?
I ask because I have been experimenting with a modified RAM mount on my seat back cross brace. I used the yoke mount from my 496 clamped to the seatback brace. Then I drilled a 1/4 in. hole in the big "L" bracket, used a 1/4-20 bolt thru the bracket and into the threaded mount in the bottom of the video camera. It is very solid, maybe too solid as the high frequency vibration while flying makes the image blurry.
I'm wondering if rubber under the clamp on the seat brace is the ticket, or maybe what Paul Dye said about velcro instead of the 1/4-20 bolt to hold the camera to the mount.?????
