Vent Tube

Instead of bending the inside tube up, along the longeron, and down again to the vent, I have seen some who simply send the inside vent tube toward the vent area.

Are there any problems with this approach? It looks like Mr. Partain followed this approach, and I want to know how well it works?

I think doing that will cause fuel to dump out at certain attitudes. The vent need a high loop to remain above the fuel in the tanks or during rolls and loops or high angles of attack, fuel can work it's way out.
