Vans gascolator

How is the bowl removed on a vans gascolator? The ring is removed, the bowl will wiggle but not come off.

Release the vacuum in the system by opening the bleeder as you remove it.

Released one of the fuel lines going into it. Still no joy. It wiggles, but won't come off. Is it a push up and twist or should it just pull off?

Second that. You need to release the pressure, wiggle and pull.

Wiggling and pulling to the point of afraid to break it. The square ring is removed, so it should come off.

It's just a sticky o-ring and vacuum holding things together. Try spraying some silicone spray lubricant up into the gap and as others have said, relieve internal vacuum by holding open the drain valve.

Yep judicious wiggling should do it. Make sure to relube the o-ring with fuel lube to ease installation and future removal.

Judicious amounts of wiggling and pulling got it off. The gascolator that is.
