Van's Fuel Sender out of stock (left only)?

I've been keeping an eye on Van's website for a while now and it seems the Left Wing Fuel Sender has been out of stock for a while. I had been waiting to order both the left and Right fuel sender at the same time, but should I just order the right one now?

I've got both fuel senders that came with my RV-14 kit. I'm not using them because I went with CiES senders. If you're interested in buying them, send me a private message.

Here is the sender in my RV-6 right tank, these are common Stewart Warner devices (at half of Vans price):

I haven't verified, but this may be the left sender:

I ended up getting the right fuel sender from Van's and the left from another source. The floats are different. Is either of these float designs an issue? Since I'll be calibrating each tank separately I don't see an issue using two types.

FYI: I finally received my delayed order of Van's L/R fuel senders. They were hung up as others experienced because the L side was on back order. So....bottom line is Van's has the L side in stock (at lease as of about a week ago).

I suppose you can install whatever float system you want to use, but the replacement senders I received have the same style float as the ones in my original installation...ie: same as on the right side of the above photo.

The float on the right was from Van's, the one on the left was from Aircraft Spruce (who does have them in stock).

I have the ones without the Sheppard's hook (which is the current version made by Stewart-Warner). The end where the rod exits was close to hitting the vent tube on the left tank but in the end clears it by 1/8". I started out with one of each, too, but messed up the bend and had to buy a replacement from AutoZone.
