I have heard that Vans has gotten rid of the cooling shroud with the Rotax 912is Sport. Is anyone able to confirm this?
I will be building a RV-12is in the EAB category, with the intention of putting a constant speed propeller in. The shroud was of concern because I wasn't sure if it would require modification to allow for the governor. If they have in fact removed it, then that is one less concern for me.
I do know that cooling was a bigger concern with the 912is Sport, so I am wondering what they ended up doing to improve the cooling.
