Valve stem too long on nose wheel

Bart

Well Known Member
My valve stem seems too long on nose wheel, in fact it seems to have rubbed grove on the fork assembly to the point that I wonder if I should replace the assembly. Has anyone had this experience? Is there a different tube that might have the stem at a better angle? What?s the tolerance for a grove on the nose fork?

That does not sound like a smart piece of advice.

Its a requirement here on certified a/c at least and for good reason. The cap has several functions least of all to keep grit etc out of the sealing area.

I would look into the tube type and or invert the wheel and maybe by some small measurement difference you may get more clearance on the opposite side.

What about the groove...I can't be the only one to find scouring from the metal cap? How bad can it be before I have to shell out the 160 bucks for a new fork?
