Val Com 2000?

Looking for a standby or second radio as a backup. Has anybody had any dealings or experience with the Val Com 2000? I like the size of the radio and audio panel. I have a 250xl as a primary.

I have 2 Val 760's in my 6. One I purchased new the other was used.
I have never had a problem with either one. (In service for 9 years) I have had complments from towers and other airborn aircraft as to the clarity of the transmitions.
I have had a chance to try the new Com-2000 radio and the new channel switching knob, rather than the toggel switch and I find it is much faster and easier to use. If you have any questions, call Chuck at Val Avionics (800)255-1511

I have a Val 760. It has been trouble free for 21 years. The only time it has been out of the panel was last year. It was working fine, but at Oshkosh the Val guys said it was time for a tune up. I sent it in and got it back in less than a week. Still no problems with it. I would trust any radio these guys make.
