Upper Intersection Fairings, old 2piece Aluminum vs. Fiberglass

mosquito

Hi,

I'm trying to replace an upper intersection fairing on my -6, 1996 vintage. She has the two piece aluminum gear leg fairings. I found a receipt from Fairings, Etc. so I ordered a replacement for the missing side, but it's not a great fit. It's the perfect overall length, but the opening (gear leg fairing chord) is too wide, about 3/4". Also the split doesn't seem to be in the same place as the other side, although that probably doesn't matter. I've emailed Bob (nice guy!) photos, but he's stumped.

I've read the newer fiberglass one piece leg fairings do have a slightly larger chord -- does anyone have a guesstimate on the actual difference?

Thanks!
