Upper Gear Leg Fairing Attach?

How have others attached the upper gear leg fairings on an RV-6 to the cowl and fuselage?

I saw "self tappers" on and earlier thread but that seems way too crude.

NUT Plates

Nutplates is the only way to go... double check your fit and go for it. Make sure to check location, as we all know there are multiple types of nutplates to choose from to make it work. You can do it right the first time, or do it over again...
