U-408 Spacer Length?

I am working on the wheel/break assemblies, and the directions and plans (or lack there of) are for Cleveland wheel assemblies, but vans now supplies the Matco wheels.

The plans call for the U-408 spacers to be 13/32" long; have you all found this distance to be accurate for the Matco wheels? I have been burned many times by blindly following the plans and don't want to burn through the stock I have.

Hi,

I have Matco wheels as well.
I cut to plan length and then had to add 1 washer, as per the "add washers as required " on the plan.

One side on my -9A was fine with the published length in the plans. The other side needed an extra washer. So, the plans are correct here for the Matco brakes. You will need to trim off some of the wheel pant attach bracket to clear the brakes.
