Took the plunge!!!

Wow, what a Christmas holiday! Yesterday I placed the big order; empennage, fuselage slow build kit (tip-up) and QB wing kit! The empennage kit ships Friday, the fuselage in about 12 weeks and the QB wing in about 6 months. The workshop is ready and just before Christmas I attended the WPA RV Builders work shop and built the Van's practice project. Guess I'm as ready as I ever will be.

Congrats Ray!!!

I think I speak for all when I say this will be one of the most rewarding experiences you will embark on.

Yesterday morning I was flying along two buddy's RVs in tight formation doing 60 degree turns and the urge to giggle out loud was palatable (and this 500+ hrs after the first flight ).

As buddy Scorch says, "This is not a normal hobby."

Thanks guys for the encouraging words. This will be my second Experimental . . . I never did decide if I enjoy building or flying better!
