tips and gaps

Hi Patrick...

...on our 06A, we installed nutplates and used #4 screws to hold the tips in place. We never took them off and will probably use Van's pop rivets next time.

The wing/fuse covers should be no more than 1/4" away from the fuselage, so the rubber strip will have an upward fold and held tight to the fuselage skin.

Best,

On the left side of the opening forums page, look under Articles. I did an extensive write up on the process of mounting and reinforcing tips.

Anyone out there have ideas on wing tip installations and fuselage to wing gap strip install?

Thanks for that! I'll tackle the wing root strip, it looks easiest. Pierre you say no more 1/4". I assume all the way around, starting with the strip edged to the trailing edge of the upper wing skins.
