Tip-up Targa Strip

Those of you who incorporated a targa strip on your tip-up canopy, could you post pictures of the joint where it meets the aft 'turtle-deck' skin and the forward canopy side skin?

Also, any comments and things to watch out for would be appreciated.

Targa

I used Alum. Was able to acquire 5052 .032 locally. Made paper template and cut material. Back drilled holes. Turned out o.k., but canopy does not sit down like before, so may need to incorporate shims. purchased a 6in.X8ft piece for less than $15. Can't remember exact cost now, but very cheap. First attempt N.G. second attempt o.k. I can't figure out how to send pics over this list.

I made mine out of fiberglass. Turned out great. Solved an annoying high-pitched whistle caused by the gap between the two halves of plexi. It doesn't interfere with the canopy operation and fits in well with the look of the plane.

The comments on my web page pretty much says it all. I think this adds a lot to the look of the canopy (especially if your cut line is not perfectly straight!)
