Tip-up latch fingers

Hello RV-ators,

Could you give me some advise on this one: what is the best procedure for positioning/drilling the canopy latch fingers to get a nice snug fit of the canopy? I thought I had read something about this on Dan C.'s site, but I can not find it anymore.
Thanx!

Thanks Jeff, but that is not what I meant. I mean the steel latches at the aft end of the canopy which are captured by the locking mechanism. Any ideas or tips about that?

If you put the 1/8" spacers under the frame like Vans mentions, and position the latches on the canopy frame to be butt up to the latching rod fingers you will have a great fit. After the Canopy and frame is complete and a weather stripping seal is placed under the frame like shown here you will have a very nice tight fit and seal. My seal is about 1/4" thick and compresses nicely.
