While routing wires it's sometimes desirable to try out different paths without having to commit to drilling holes for supporting clamps. Here's what I did. Get some of the not-so-sticky blue painter's tape, some plastic cable ties and some of those little peel-and-stick cable tie pads. Put a little square of the blue tape wherever you want a cable anchor and then stick the peel-and-stick gizmo on the tape. It sticks plenty good but the blue tape will peel right off without taking paint with it. If you're careful you can reuse it several times.
