Tip: Quickbuild Wing tie-down Tap

Just for referance. Page 13-4 Step 6. The tie down was not tapped on my wings.:(

Had to do it upside down (under the wing).

Would be a lot simpler to do it while on the wing stands.

Not done on mine either, although I noticed it before mounting the wings.
Made me nervous: it's a deep thread, and if I snapped the tap off in there it would be painful to get in there and replace the part. Used lots of cutting oil!

Had to tap mine too.

For anyone not familiar with using taps, use lots of oil as stated AND back out the tap all the way after every full turn or two. Broken tap here would be a real ()*&(*&(^^.

A "Gottacha" for sure

Did mine laying under the wing, in the grass at Osh.

Luckily the homebuilder assistance shack had a tap and handle to loan out.
