Hey All-
All of us slow-build builders know that the inboard most Z-brackets have the plate-nuts on the back of the main spar (between the wing-walk doubler ribs). If you follow the directions, these are installed after all the ribs are in place ect.... I've heard several folks swearing about getting in there to set the platenut solid rivets etc. So, I thought I'd share this little gem I came across. We all know that plate nut rivets are not structural so why bust your but trying to set these 12 rivets? CherryMax makes a blind rivet for just an application (plate nuts) (CCR264cs3-3 & -4) availble here (bottom right of link below) for $3.00 bucks for a pack of 10 ... Worth your time & frustratiuon? Thought this might save some other folks time.
