It's time to seal the fuel fittings at the selector lever and the brake lines at the master cylinders. What type of sealant is recommended. I have seen Loc Tite sealant in the aircraft parts books but I can't find it locally. Seems like Permatex is all that is available in our market. Does anyone know if this is an acceptable alternative and what number designation it would be or specific name to purchase? Thanks.

I've been using this sealant for many years in the heating/air conditioning business. I get mine from HVAC suppliers, but Home Depot has it. I used this on fuel, oil, and brake fittings in the RV. No leaks.

Look up fuel lube at spruce. There's a suitable sub that they sell ....I think it's called EZ Turn.
