The Welded Elevator Pushrod

I don't recall the part number but has anyone else had trouble getting the rod ends to thread in. I need both ends to go in another quarter inch or so and they will not. The female treads look ok (albeit a little rusty). I put a padded vise grip to the rod ends and still no go.

Yep. I had the same problem. I asked a neighbor who owns a body shop if he had a tap to clear it out. He did and it worked great. Took him a minute to do. Dave
