Last Weekend’s WDYDWYRTW Thread Still Rockin
…hydroguy2
We’ve been having a lot of winter still around our place. But last week we got some temps in the 50’s. I was able to plow enough snow out of the way and the sun did the rest. Did a loop down Flathead lake, nice squeaker landing at Polson 8S1 and then battled the afternoon bumps coming back. Still a great day to get out. Oh then it started snowing Sunday

AK999999’s Compact Tablet Rig w/Sentry
I mount my iPad mini with the pivot case and pivot ball mount. I attach it to the canopy careful not to interfere and get in the way of the control stick. Also it’s in spot where it doesn’t block the lights for Lane A and B. Also, unrelated, I attach my sentry to the back of the pivot case with Velcro.

Larry KMYA RE Landing Gear and Engine Mount support
I just put the main gear on while on the rotisserie. Then put blocks under the gear legs (no wheels on) and removed the forward rotisserie and installed the mount and nose gear.

Same as Larry except I put the wheels and brakes on and did all the frp. Note: If you’ve got the stock exhaust, stick the tailpipe in place before you mount the engine. PITA to do it after.

WDYDWYRTW? 3 / 1-2 / 2025
Getting this weekend’s what did you do with your RV this weekend thread started. Drove out to 52F and took the RV-6 over to KXBP for fuel Saturday morning. Hazy and a little bumpy below 2,500, with a couple of GPS to HDG and back to GPS moments to avoid traffic (can see ‘um in the ground...

Using iPad in flight
I would like to use an iPad with Foreflight while in flight in my RV-12iS. I haven't been able to settle on a good method ... knee board strapped to leg? ... or iPad Mini mounted somewhere using RAM mounts (and if so, where? and how attached?). Is there anyone who has already solved this...

Panel Color vs 402 bulkhead
Comes down to preference, I know. For those that have a different color panel versus the surrounding interior. Anyone paint the 402 bulkhead to match the panel? Don’t recall any such pictures. In my mind’s eye, it would be a better finished look. Anybody got pix of such? Much thx.

Landing Gear and Engine Mount support
I’m getting into Chapter 40A. The -14A has been on a rotisserie to this point, and now I’m wondering what the best means of support is for installing the engine mount and landing gear. (What ever if is I’d like it to be on wheels so I can reconfigure the shop as necessary). How high off the...

What to do when you get bored
I feel like I’m watching paint dry. So close to the truth since my 8 is in the paint shop and I’m waiting. Soooo, what do you do. You start building something else. Dig out the woodworking tools and scrap box and make something. I’ve always wanted a steady rest for the lathe so why not...

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
