Landing light connector
I'm wondering how everyone else solved this issue. I know I can choose any order for the pins as long as it matches both the female and male side, but I was wondering if there was any consistent answer on how you all were solving this. I searched the forums and contacted Van's Builder support...

Question about heat shielding front lower cowl
Removed the lower cowl on my RV-9A at 12 hours total flight time. Noted this appearance. Comments on what this discoloration is? Don't see any indication of melting or deformation, on the outside of this area. Should I install heat shield material?

WDYDWYRTW? 11/8-9/2025
What did you do with your RV this weekend? Saturday morning I went out and took the RV up for a spin, as it was the first weekend in eight weeks I didn't have an extra paper route. REALLY nice flying!!! Wasn’t alone - lots of folks getting in some flying before the northern winds arrived mid...

I started with the standard cowl on my 9A, got it fitted and didnt like how the hinges came out so I got a James cowl. It was finished better and I was able to pick it up at their shop in Oregon. I have a carb on the bottom O-320 and I was not able to make their cone shaped air filter system work so it was a lot of effort making the standard FAB work. In the end, I am happy with the results. I have a plenum and my temps are great. It looks good and Im sure it is much faster! Ha!
Im sure you will be happy with either choice.
