Below freezing WX finally showed up in N.TX Sunday, so Saturday was spent doing the things you do. Low clouds Saturday also kept area RV folk on the ground, I’m guessing. Got the water turned off at the hangar. Hope the WX was better in your neck of the woods. Watching the ice band traveling W to E across the USA - hope you folks are doing OK.

Starting the RV10 build up again.....
It's been a chaotic few years with a relocation to the N.E. (started the fuse up here) and building up a new multi-location small business over the last 14 months, but I am seeing some light finally so the build must continue. Oh, and picked up an RV8 kit just to make things interesting...

Greetings ...
Just a note to introduce myself. I just started an RV-10 vertical stab after building all of the practice kits. A couple of years ago I did take the SportAir RV workshop which was a great intro. Way back in the 1990s, I started a Glassier Super IIS RG but a combination of a lack of time, not...

Abnormally high CHT, EGT on single cylinder
Setup: RV-7A, Superior XP-IO-360 with a constant speed prop. ~800h since new. This was the first flight after a 2-3 week holiday. I recently switched to running G100UL fuel and have put about two tanks through. 45F OAT Story: The runup and checks were normal. During takeoff the engine was...

Center Section - Snap Bushing?
Long, long ago when I put together the center section bulkhead, I ground down the side of a plastic snap bushing so it would fit in the wiring hole that is on the outside portion of the bulkhead (ground down because part of the hole gets encroached on by the vertical 904D piece). Fast forward...

RV-10 Fuel Pressure Fluctuations at High RPM
I have a brand new RV-10 with 4 one hour long flights completed. The plane has a Lycoming IO-540 and I am running Dynon Skyview HDX on the panel. The first three flights all produced low fuel pressure warnings on takeoff. This is with the fuel boost pump off. The lower limit for "red" fuel...

RV8 Buss Bar Locations
I am building an RV8 and need input for placement of the main and avionics buss bars and grounding pins. Attached are a couple of photos where I think they could be mounted. Looks like the strut connecting the two gear towers could work - close to the breakers and the strut could support wire...

Possible False Torque-Brake Mount Weldment (U-403) To Axil (RV-3,4,6,6A,7,7A,8A,9,9A)
After 14 yrs and 500+ hours on my RV-7A (I know that is not a lot of hours in 14 yrs), I came across an issue during my condition inspection. This issue may effect RV-3, 4,6,6A,7,7A,8A,9,9A builders and owners. This issue may have been addressed on the forum or by updates to the plans in the...

Another method to get heat to the back
Just installed this eyeball vent and scat tube to direct adjustable flow heat to the back or front as needed. Steinair 2" OD eyeball. Works well to get heat around me to the back seater. Also solved the problem of adjustable flow as the firewall flapper valve I have is either full on or full...
