The infamous Rotax shutdown squeak

There was a thread about the squeak on 912-shutdown a while back, but I finally managed to run across an example of it so folks would know what we were talking about:

Go to the very end when he shuts the engine down and you'll hear it right as the prop comes to a stop.

Just FYI if you havn't already noticed it on your 912ULS's....

Rotax recommends that the engine be at absolute minimum RPM when shutting down - this is for longevity of the gearbox. Throttle to the idle stop, switch to one mag, allow RPM to drop, then switch off. I haven't heard my 912S squeak since doing the Rotax recommended procedure.
