The first of many mistakes!

Working on my elevator today, and accidentally punched a hole in the E-701 skin! Looking for any and all advice on what to do now. Can I leave it and fill it in during painting? Should I put some scrap material behind, and rivet through to cover the hole? Not sure how this will affect the structural integrity. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's the dreaded dimple eight

I feel your pain. I did the exact same thing Saturday on my left elevator skin. Luckily it was on the bottom and I didn't actually pull a full squeeze on it.
