The Big Cut ? Made it in the grass..

Hey guys, just made the big cut on my -7 tipper yesterday up here in the cool Northwest. I took a novel approach (may have been done before by others), but it worked out fairly well for me. I just set it in the grass and let her rip.

Disclaimer: If you try to cut your canopy like this, please do it at your own risk, but it worked for me.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I made the big cut here in the cool northeast yesterday too!

I just left it on the plane and sliced away.

Far and away the most blown out of proportion part of the project yet!

Nuttin to it but to do it (just like everything else)!

Meet you in the Middle at OSH when we are all done!

Grass? What's that?

All we have here in Texas is a lot of crunchy brown stuff in our yards... but if you set a canopy out there for a few minutes in the late afternoon, you could probably just slice thru it with a butterknife :p

The weather here is not always "helpful" but when it is, I often get the saw horses out and work in the fresh air. If nothing else, the light is much better than the artificial light in the workshop.
