Hey guys-
We've got a Telex PT-300 as our PTT in the 6.. Today while flying I go to go no-comm as I could not transmit.. I was able to receive but could not get anything out..
I was able to "transmit" however, it was carrier only, no voice.. I am getting the magic transmit "T" on the radio and other aircraft heard my "transmission." Just no voice..
So I am trying to rule out the "what could it bes."
The headset I was using works.. I thought the boom mic might have gone out, no joy.. I used it in our Cessna for a comm check.. Works fine..
I didn't think of it until on the way home, but I am going to throw the PT-300 into the Cessna and see if I can get out.. That will then help me rule out the PT-300..
I was wondering if any of you guys might have one of these they could "take apart" and show me the innerds.. Just to see if something has come loose in mine..
