Tanks: Float Sensor with Flop Tube?

I know most have elected to install the capacitance type sensors, but has anyone installed a float type fuel quantity sensor in the same tank with a Flop Tube? The plans have you mount the sensor on the baffle in the next outboard bay.

It would be great to hear from anyone who has done this before I attempt it.

The float sensor works just fine in the next bay. Only difference is that you will have fuel lremaining when gauge reads empty. NOT necessarily a bad thing.

I did it and it's no big deal. BUILD ON!

I did it too and it works fine. I use the Vans gauges and they work nicely too. I made a crude mock up of the tank to get the bend on the float just right.
