tank skin conundrum

A fellow was helping me dimple a tank skin. I stepped away to take a call. When i returned he had dimpled all the holes where the tank baffle goes. What do i do? Thinking of just ordering a new skin.

No Prob

Just put a flush set in your dimpler and pound the dimples out. I did the same thing once and that is what Vans told me. As long as you don't dimple and smooth more than once, it should not weaken the metal appreciably.

I did the same thing by mistake on my right wing - I simply countersunk the baffle to accept the dimple, put plenty proseal in there when I closed the tank, and it held pressure. It's not flying yet, though...

It does make it SLIGHTLY more difficult to seat the baffle in place, due to the lower clearance, but only slightly and the proseal helps it slide around. Really a non-event.
