Tailcone assembly question (Lap Joint?)

So with everything primed and painted it's time to start cleco'ing the tailcone back together in preparation for riveting. Do I need to treat the bottom of the side skins as lap joints and bend them a bit? If so does this apply the top skins as well? Or is there no concern of gaps once riveted.

I'm thinking I don't need to do this but want to make sure. I might not fully grasp what a lap joint is and isn't.

The horizontal rivet lines on the top skins can benefit from a tiny break because of them being wrapped around like they are. The bottoms seem to rivet nice and flat as is.
