So how long till someone shortens the wing one bay, stretch the fuse a little, and re spaces the ribs, strengthens some key areas, and hangs a IO-720 on one of these?

The change of a O-360 to an IO-540 (harmon rocket) was about the same % increase in weight for that conversion as the IO-540 to the IO-720.


One thing to keep in mind is the RV-4 started life as a +6g airplane but the RV-10 is only Utility catagory.


I bet it would be a smooth running machine.:D:D:D:D

Hmm yeah, seems to me the 10 is a more civilised get you from one pace to another type airplane, rather than a thrill machine like the 7 or 8.

In other words what would actually do with the extra Performance?.. You could probably end up cruising at VNE while Lean of peak and thats about it.

I mean your not going to use the extra performance to do a massive hammerhead..At least I hope not.
