Good day

I live in Austria and have completed just my RV9a.
Motorized I have this with a Lycoming O320.

Now, I have a small problem.
Namely:

Our authority sought proof of load

Would I like to know who has done a stress test RV9 of you?

I would either:

Evidence
credible pictures
Documentation
or just plain information
need

with our best thanks
in advance

Vans normally only supports customers from the United States.

Thus my question: has anyone of you Berrecheungen safety factors on the spar of the wing?

has anyone anything in terms of strength, loads, load factors, etc.

Sincerely

stefan

Vans normally only supports customers from the United States...
Are you sure? It is my understanding they support everyone, regardless of where in the world they might fly, build, live. Send them an email, they will respond.

Might I suggest you contact Francis Donaldson, Chief Engineer at the Light Aircraft Association in the UK. The LAA require a good degree of design verification similar to the certification codes before clearing specific types for amateur series-build approval.
They may well have already obtained proof load or analytical evidence that the design is to the required standard.

I believe Vans conduct proof load tests by sandbagging to a 50% reserve factor (i.e. 150% of design load) as part of their design verification.
