I enjoyed your post as exactly 20 years ago this month I took delivery of my Sterba 69X69 prop for my (then) almost completed RV4. After finishing my RV4 I flew the Sterba with decent performance for 2 years. Some tips for care and feeding when you start flying:
1. Check the bolt torque every 10 hours until you get 50 hours, then every 20 hours.
2. Inspect closely for cracks along the grain after a year of use.
3. Throttle back to 2200 RPM in any visible moisture or you will erode the leading edge significantly.
