After the inventory of my quick build wings and fuselage, I was reading Van's guidance to prime or oil all steel parts. What kind of oil? I assume the steps should just be prepared and primed. How about the powder coated stuff like rudder pedals, etc? Just put some oil on the exposed steel and that will be fine? thanks for the newby help.

Ardrox AV8

I've been using Ardrox (formerly Dinitrol) AV8 corrosion inhibiting compound. It is listed along with the Cessna proprietary compound in the recent Cessna service bulletin for corrosion protection of their aircraft.

In particular, I used it inside the aileron and elevator pushrods and the elevator horn bracket tubes.
