Static line drain

It looks like I will route my static line along the center floor throuh the tunnel so my question is.

Has anyone installed a static line drain using this routing in the -7 and if so where did you locate the drain?

I'm thinking of using a ( push to drain )like in my mooney any other options I may be missing?

I tried looking through past post but see nothing referencing static drains.

Is there a reason your not doing it per plans?

I know that is not much help, but the per plans route does not require any drain, keeps the line shorter, and is easier to troubleshoot if there is a leak. The fewer joints and connections the better also.

One way to make it self-draining..

....is to route the two lines up to the top of the rear fuselage and join them there, with a 'tee' so any water from washing, etc runs down and back out of the static ports.

Then route the line forward and down the bulkhead that holds the baggage rear panel, all the way to the floor and forward from there.

A friend pointed this out to me on the last -7 we worked on and it does very well this way.

Best,
