starter solenoid

Has anybody mounted there starter solenoid upside down? Has anybody had any problems if it was tried.

I think the

problem is if you pull high g loading, it could engage in flight. I'm assuming you are talking about the starter contacter not the solenoid.

I want to mount the whole solenoid

upsidedown, I am under the assumption that this isn't a good idea if you are doing heavy acro. I am wondering if there is anybody out there who has mounted there solenoid inverted. Thanks

I mounted all of mine sideways to avoid all of these issues.

Same here. One of our local acro guys said it was common to mount sideways on acro a/c.

I've been flying with it this way for 5 years with no problems.
