Standoffs for mountain high O2 system distributors?

Hey all,

I tracked down this excellent set of photos from a builder, Mark Cooper, who used a set of click-bond threaded standoffs to mount his oxygen distributor heads directly to the plastic of the aerosport side panels:

This is the most representative photo: https://myrv10factory.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/wp_000088.jpg?w=690&h=&zoom=2

This is exactly what I want to do, BUT I had a question about the installation for Mark or anyone else who's followed this path.

It looks like the total standoff height needed is 1.5 inches, and the standoffs mark is using are less than 1 inch, leaving 0.5" or more open. I've also managed to source 1" click-bond standoffs from The Flight Shop. The question is, do I:

- add my own 0.5" bushing standoffs between the click-bond standoff and the oxygen distributor head?
- or is there some other more clever way to suspend the distributor head 1.5" from the plastic?

Thanks for helping me think this through, all!
