Hi all.
I have bought a Stall warner 7/8/9 from Van?s on my RV-7. For a reason I ignore, it don?t work! I am sure it?s a simple issue, but cannot figure it.
I have connected the wires coming from the the wire connector of the stall warning plate as following:
- Left one: to a 2A breaker;
- Second from left: to ground;
- Thirdth from left : to the micro-switch;
- Right one : directly to one wire of the earphone jack of my headset as mentioned in the ordering information:
?Description
Kit allows simple installation, either to retrofit flying RVs, or during initial wing construction. Simple vane type stall warning device as installed on Van's demo airplanes. Includes a tone generator that can be connected directly to headset jacks for audible stall warning.?
When I trigger the vane, I hear a click out of the stall warning plate, but nothing in my headset.
The figure 2 of page OP46-06-RV-7,8,9, 08/06/09 of the installation sheet says to connect the right wire to the ?Audio mixer/Audio input?.
I suppose my problem is there? Do I have to connect this 4th wire elsewere?
