Squeezer Yoke Rivet set hole too small...

Michael Burbidge

Gradually the upper hole on one of my yokes has gotten tighter and tighter. It is to the point that I cannot get a rivet set in it any more. From inspecting it I cannot see that it is damaged. It does not appear oblong or to be damaged around the edge of the hole. Has anyone had this happen? The yoke came with my original tool kit from Cleveland. I'm tempted to drill it out with a reamer, but am worried that I will make it too big.

Maybe there is a little corrosion in there. Try some lubrication first.
I have a couple of dies that are tighter than others. I use pliers to get them out if they get stuck beyond finger or fingernail tight.
