Vans uses a splash pan under the carburetor to splash overflow fuel. This causes difficulty when performing maintenance like cleaning the carburetor bowls or changing the floats etc.
I noticed that Rotax doesn’t ship these engines with splash pans. The splash pans are from Vans. The little hoses need to be in the same pressure area so engine will run at the same altitude.
My question: is there any other ways to deal with this issue?
