Spinner scribe lines

For those who have finished their spinners, which scribe line did you trim to? Mine has 2 about 1/8 inch apart. The instructions do not specify which. Or is it best to trim to the first one initially?

Scribe Lines

As I remember it, after you mount the engine, the spinner spacing will change. We ended up shaving even more off the spinner plate itself. But I think I didn't take enough off the cowling , thereby changing the spacing between the cowling and the spinner.

Thanks Marty for the link- I now remember seeing your initial posts on this. I trimmed to the forward most line and still had to remove an additional 1/8 inch to make it flush with the spinner back plate once it was mounted. All went well though.

Thanks Meade- I am trimming/mounting my cowling after engine and spinner installation in order to circumvent some of the reported problems on alignment and spacing. In fact, the cowling is next!
